V60 POUR OVER

The perfect Pour Over recipe for fans of the V60. One of our favourite recipes, exceptionally smooth.
Notes:  Dark chocolate, burnt toffee, buttery. Like a stronger, richer Americano
Kopi:  15g
Water:  180g @ 95˚C (plus more to rinse and dilute)
Kit:  Hario V60 with paper filter
Filter Prep: Rinsed with hot water
Time:  3 minutes max
  1. Add Nanyang Kopi Powder to filter. Shake to level. Make a 1cm dip in the centre with your fingertip
  2. Slowly pour 30g hot water over the Kopi Powder. Start with dip and work outwards in concentric circles. Do not pour onto filter walls
  3. Bloom / saturate for 30 seconds
  4. Pour 150g of hot water in concentric circles at a slow even rate. Slow down if filter fills quickly
  5. Dilute your V60 Brew with 60-80g additional hot water
  6. Enjoy your cup of deliciously rich Kopi House Nanyang Kopi a la Americano!

N.B.
  • For a stronger brew, rather than diluting later, use 210g hot water during the brewing process
  • Best enjoyed black with no sugar
